This page explains how photographic content on this website is used, who holds the rights to it, and what to do if you have a concern about a specific image. By browsing this site, you're agreeing to the terms below.
Original Work
Everything shown here was photographed, produced, or art-directed by Santi Castillo, unless a collection is specifically marked otherwise (see below). These images are protected under copyright law. Downloading, reposting, or using any image commercially without written permission isn't allowed. If you're interested in licensing or using a specific photo, reach out first.
Collections Marked with an Asterisk (*)
A few collections on this site carry an asterisk next to their name. That mark means something specific: the original photography in that collection wasn't shot by me. Those images were shared with me by someone else, the original photographer, a model, or another creative collaborator, for the purpose of retouching and post-production.
In those cases, my work is limited to the editing: color, skin, composite work, whatever the retouch involved. I'm not claiming to have taken the photo, and the collection is shown here specifically to demonstrate that editing work as part of my portfolio. Copyright over the original capture stays with whoever shot it. Nothing here changes that.
I've done my best to make sure anything shared with me for retouching came with the right permissions to display it this way. If you're the original photographer, a subject in one of these images, or otherwise have a stake in one of them and see a problem, please get in touch (details below). I'll take it seriously and act on it.
If You're Pictured in a Photo
Everyone appearing in these photos, models, clients, collaborators, is here with consent, either given directly to me or, for the asterisked collections, given to whoever originally shared the image. If you appear in something on this site and have a concern, contact me directly.

A Note on Limits
I take reasonable care to make sure everything on this site is used properly, but I can't guarantee airtight rights clearance for material that was shared with me by someone example shared with me by someone else for retouching. If something's wrong, tell me and I'll fix it. That's the commitment this page is really about.
